I know many of you might be wondering why I said to stop saying, “It’s never too late.” Does that mean never trying again? No, not at all.
Let me begin by telling you my tale. I wanted to do my intermediary studies in psychology, but we didn’t have a psychology class in our school, and I was also concerned that my parents would refuse me because psychology is of limited scope in India; therefore, I never tried speaking out and instead pursued a career in commerce.
My parents encouraged me to prepare for government examinations after I finished school, so I changed my field of study in college to the arts.
Though I was always interested in psychology, studying human nature and its various principles, as well as psychologically mending others, was something I had always wanted to achieve.
But all of my dreams were dashed, and so now I can’t pursue psychology or pursue my goals since the link is utterly broken.
Yeah! I attempt to comprehend it by reading books or watching videos on YouTube, but there is a big difference between doing so on your own and taking the entire course.
Hold on; I’m not saying we can’t try again. You want to learn the guitar at 50? Absolutely, you can. The idea of starting a new one is inspiring, but it’s good to remember that not all doors remain open forever.
I’m sure many of you have considered pursuing a goal but couldn’t achieve it for various reasons, and you may now wish to pursue that ambition once more. That is quite correct; you may and should.
Yes, you can absolutely give your dreams another chance, but leaning too much on that idea might lead to a bit of procrastination. Imagine that you and your friend both have a dream. Your friend charges ahead while you’re there, saying, “It’s never too late.” Take your time.
But here’s the deal: time doesn’t wait around. It’s like a train that keeps moving forward, whether we’re on board or not. So, instead of banking on “never too late,” what if we switched it up to “Now’s the Time”? It might not always feel like the perfect moment, but it’s yours to grab.
Look, life throws us curveballs, but that doesn’t mean you have to hit the pause button on your dreams. Finding that balance between the present and the ticking clock. That is where the magic happens.
It’s preferable to give your dreams a shot when the timing is appropriate, or else it may be “too late” to start afresh. Quit using this term, and just don’t surrender to it no matter what.
